Italian plastics enterprises have been unlocking the opportunities in the Chinese market. At PLAST 2018, Chinese visitors have a very fruitful experience thanks to the special visiting programs specially organized, and understand more about the competitive advantages of the Italian enterprises in the industry supply chain.
In order to facilitate more valuable exchanges between the industry players of both countries, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE, also known as Italian Trade Commission) have invited the representatives of associations from the Chinese plastics industry as well as Chinese customers to visit PLAST 2018.
“In the early 90’s, state-of-the-art Italian machines and equipment were sought after in the Chinese market. At PLAST 2018, I am impressed with the high quality and technologies of the Italian products. As the Chinese plastics industry is undergoing an upgrade transformation, there are high demands for imported high quality, high precision and highly reliable machines. In return, I also wish more Italian suppliers can also visit China and have a comprehensive outlook of the Chinese market,” Ma Zhanfeng, vice president of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association (CPPIA) told CPRJ at the fairgrounds.
“I find many inspirations during the visit at PLAST 2018. Italian machines feature high-end technologies with unique appearances, which are very impressive. For example, at one of the booths, I saw a mixing system for extrusion applications, which has very good sealing feature and is very sustainable. I wish more Italian suppliers can understand the Chinese market and offer customized products,” said Ms Cao Ling, vice president at Tianjin Development Area Jinpeng Plastics Profile Manufacture Co., Ltd., a professional manufacturer of PVC plastic door & window profiles in China. Meanwhile, Mr Lu Meng Cheng, Deputy General Manager, Hubei Huishi Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. was admired by the advanced technologies of Italian recycling equipment which can process different materials such as PET, LDPE, HDPE, etc. The main business of the Hubei Huishi is the production and sales of plastic films.
In addition, a briefing on the latest comprehensive outlooks of the Italian plastics industry and the Chinese import and export was held in the afternoon of Day 1.
